PAN-SEARED SCALLOPS IN CHILI SOY SAUCE

Check out another one of my mom's delicious pan-seared scallop appetizer recipes! It does not disappoint.

Enjoy! 💗Helena

INGREDIENTS (4 servings):

  • 8 scallops
  • Coriander, use the leaves only
  • 1 red chili, chopped
  • Kikkoman soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil for pan-searing

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Dry the scallops with paper towel.

  2. Salt and pepper both sides.

  3. Pan-sear in olive oil on high heat for 1 minute on each side, but don't burn them.

  4. Lower the heat and add a handful of coriander and the chopped chili.

  5. Pour a good amount of soy sauce into the pan (depending on how much sauce you want) and stir. Bring it to a light boil and quickly turn off the heat.

  6. Taste the sauce and see if it needs more seasoning.
  7. Ready to serve!
