Sometimes you just crave a nice, juicy steak. Actually, to be honest with you, I crave it almost all the time, because I'm an unapologetic carnivore. Here is the simplest, quickest and most delicious steak recipe you'll ever come across. One day I hope to be able to convince Caroline to try it. She has no idea what she's missing out on. 🥩😋😄
Enjoy! 💗Helena
INGREDIENTS:
- 550-600 grams flat iron steak
- 3 tablespoons fresh, or dry, rosemary, chopped
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon finishing salt
- 1-2 teaspoons fresh, black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
- Dry the meat with a clean paper towel.
- Season and marinate the steak on both sides. Then bring to room temperature for 30-60 minutes before cooking.
- Pre-heat a cast iron griddle pan and make sure it's very hot.
- To obtain a medium steak, cook it on medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side (and don't touch the steak while it's searing!).
- Let the steak rest for 10 minutes on a wood cutting board or cooling rack. Do not cover it.
- Cut the steak against the grain.
- Ready to serve!
