STUFFING AS A SIDE DISH

Are you like me and always end up with too much celery, leek and scallions that go bad in the fridge and then you have to throw it out? 🛑Stop that right now!🛑 Make a stuffing instead and serve it as a side dish! 😋 You’re welcome! 😁

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8-10 celery stalks 
  • 2 leeks
  • 8 scallions
  • 200-250g bacon bits
  • Marinade:
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • ½ tsp Kikkoman soy sauce
    • 1 tsp Heinz chili sauce
    • ½ tsp tarragon


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C (convection setting).
  2. Chop up celery, leek, scallions and bacon. Mix it all together in a bowl. 
  3. Marinade: Mix olive oil with the chili sauce, soy sauce and tarragon.
  4. Mix the marinade with the stuffing.
  5. Pour the stuffing onto a large, glass oven dish.
  6. Place dish in oven for approximately 40 minutes. Stir a couple of times during cooking. 
  7. Ready to serve.
